KarSU Student Successfully Concludes International STAR Program at JINR

Dubna, Russia – February–April 2025 — Hikmat Turakulov, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Physics, has completed an eight-week international internship under the STAR program at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Russia. The internship was fully funded by a $4,000 grant. During the program, he gained hands-on experience in experimental physics, data analysis, and advanced laboratory techniques. Turakulov also collaborated with JINR scientists on research projects and prepared a scholarly article for submission to journals indexed in the Scopus database. In addition, he actively participated in seminars and discussions alongside scientists from various countries. This valuable experience is expected to enhance his professional competencies and further strengthen cooperation between Karshi State University and JINR.
